Green hydrogen and Power-to-X products are entering international markets, but there is no single method for calculating their greenhouse gas footprint, as different methodologies are used. These methodologies are often tied to regulatory frameworks. An overview of the different frameworks and their applicability to PtX products, as well as a description of how the most relevant methodologies function, is presented in this report<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving from theory to practice, we developed three Excel-based GHG calculation tools for various PtX products<\/strong> based on key methodologies. These tools can be used by project developers and other interested parties to provide a solid basis for their own PtX GHG calculations, or to gain a better understanding of how the methodologies work.
