Argentina\u2019s optimal renewable energy conditions, particularly in the Patagonia region, support green hydrogen production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> In 2023, the National Low-Emission Hydrogen Strategy was launched, aiming for at least 1 Mt\/year of low-emission hydrogen by 2030 and 5 Mt\/year by 2050, requiring 30 GW of electrolysis and 55 GW of renewable electricity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study identifies industrial and biogenic CO2 sources, crucial for PtX products like methanol and synthetic fuels. It emphasises capturing CO2 from current emissions and future technologies like Direct Air Capture (DAC). A detailed map of Argentina\u2019s CO2 sources highlights their locations and types, aiding in developing PtX projects and necessary infrastructure.
