{"id":14924,"date":"2023-01-02T16:57:00","date_gmt":"2023-01-02T15:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ptx-hub.org\/?post_type=publication&#038;p=14924"},"modified":"2023-06-22T09:32:49","modified_gmt":"2023-06-22T07:32:49","slug":"analysis-of-latest-leaks-of-the-redii-delegated-acts","status":"publish","type":"publication","link":"https:\/\/ptx-hub.org\/pt-br\/publication\/analysis-of-latest-leaks-of-the-redii-delegated-acts\/","title":{"rendered":"Analysis of latest leaks of the REDII Delegated Acts specifying rules for green hydrogen in the EU"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Over the past years, the&nbsp;<strong>European Commission (EC) has been working on developing rules for green hydrogen and its derivatives<\/strong>, which will be imperative for demand side support measures that are specific for renewable hydrogen and other Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBOs), such as targeted quotas in industry and transport. These rules are<strong>&nbsp;to be defined in two delegated acts to Article 27 and Article 28 of the Renewable Energy Directive (REDII)<\/strong>, specifying the requirements for the sourcing of renewable electricity in the production of RFNBOs and the methodology for calculating the greenhouse gas emissions savings of RFNBOs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After official drafts were published for public consultation in May 2022, the&nbsp;<strong>European Parliament\u2019s (EP) vote on the amendment of the REDII in September overruled the delegated acts<\/strong>&nbsp;proposed by the EC. A revised proposal was expected in late December \u2013 but has been delayed yet again.
