Interview with Heino von Meyer: Green hydrogen & PtX is not just about greenhouse gas accounting, but sustainable development

At World Hydrogen Congress 2023, our sustainability expert Heino von Meyer spoke to Dr. Thomas Weiß of Insights Partner TÜV SÜD. They discussed the need for sustainable PtX solutions that go beyond green production facilities. Not only must environmental issues such as water and land use be taken into account, but also social and economic aspects so that countries can benefit from PtX value chains. In the interview, Heino emphasised that PtX solutions must be tailored to the conditions and requirements of the individual countries in order to contribute to the countries' energy transition.

You shouldn't come with recipes. You should really work with the people on the ground and develop together where the comparative advantages of a country lie and where its strengths are.
