Interactive tool: Map of CO2 sources in Argentina

The CO2 map on our website is a vital tool for exploring Power-to-X (PtX) opportunities in Argentina. It identifies key sources of CO2 across the country, distinguishing between industrial and biogenic emissions. This information is compulsory for developing PtX projects like e-methanol and synthetic fuels, which utilise CO2 as a raw material.

The map highlights the locations of major CO2 point sources, providing insights into the scale of emissions at each site. This helps stakeholders assess the availability and quality of CO2 for sustainable PtX applications. In the long term, focusing on non-fossil, closed carbon cycle sources such as Direct Air Capture (DAC) and biogenic sources will be essential for achieving carbon neutrality.
