Frank Mischler
As the director of the PtX Hub, based in Brussels, I am devoted to navigating our partner nations through the labyrinth of regulation, sustainability, and finance. With astuce vigilance over EU policies governing PtX and hydrogen, I am committed to ensuring that renewable energy sources play a pivot role in mitigating climate change during this decisive decade.
Focus
Leading our action in 13 partner countries. The main topics addressed at the moment are carbon sourcing, climate-neutral aviation and EU cooperation.

My work focuses on research, country cooperations and sustainability. My motivation comes from a passion for sustainable energy solutions. I am currently focusing on a research collaboration on enabling and hindering factors for hydrogen upscaling, as well as sustainability standards and promoting local value creation in partner countries.

I follow and engage in global and European processes on H2/PtX certification and sustainability. I’m curious to learn about procedures,via certification or other processes,or good practices on how co-benefits can be unlocked effectively and sustainably, for the countries and local communities where H2/PtX projects are situated.

I’m engaging in discussions and learning formats to create a broader understanding of the topic, relevance, and limitations of certification.

Philipp Wittrock
As the lead on green shipping and focal point for Kenya and India, I focus on advancing defossilised maritime solutions and supporting PtX pathways in emerging markets. My motivation stems from a desire to contribute shaping the global transition to sustainable energy systems and climate-resilient economies.

Philip Miltrup
I am mainly responsible for all technical matters such as process engineering and systemic integration of Power-to-X. My personal motivation to work in the field of green hydrogen and PtX technologies is to drive the transformation of carbon-intensive sectors.
Focus
At the International PtX Hub, I am focusing on making technical PtX knowledge more accessible and tangible. This includes the creation of technical papers, on-site support and advice in our partner countries, the organization and implementation of trainings and close cooperation with PtX technology providers.
Mission
My goal within the PtX Hub is to ensure that the technology is not just available but fully functional, leaving no room for excuses. I am committed to driving technological innovation and creating customised PtX solutions for our partner countries. My mission extends to ensuring technological scalability by promoting the adoption and integration of PtX into existing energy infrastructures.
Ruth Barbosa
I contribute to the concepts and didactics of our PtX trainings, some I have transferred into self-paced e-learnings. As PtX.Community coordinator, I welcome our alumni and other enthusiasts to stay in touch with us. I am also focal point for our Aviation activities, where I participate in the ongoing discussion on how to make flying more sustainable, e.g. through e-SAF and other innovative solutions. It is exciting to contribute to innovative solutions for our climate crisis. Training people is key to bring clean technologies into practice and scale. In particular, the Aviation sector is where the needed transition affects us all!
Focus
The development of knowledge products on Sustainable Aviation is what I currently focus on. Also, I create a continuous learning environment for our PtX.Community through regular updates and alumni meet-ups.

As aviation technical expert, my work mainly focuses on building up the training for Aviation. Climate change and its effects on the environment are one of the biggest challenges of this generation. Being a part of the solution with PtX Hub, by defossilizing an industry such as aviation, brings us one step closer to reaching international climate targets.

Elisabeth Kriegsmann
In the hub, I am responsible for the basic PtX training. Moreover, I work on the nexus of water-energy-food and with this on ammonia-based fertiliser.I am thrilled by the idea that PtX can make a positive contribution to so many different aspects of defossilisation – from transport to cosmetics, but especially, a more climate-friendly agricultural value chain!

Developing an idea connecting ammonia-based fertiliser with water, energy and food security while disseminating knowledge products on PtX.

Advancing the understanding of PtX as a holistic concept to combat climate change, water and energy security with a need of strict guiding regulations.
Thomas Elmar Schuppe
My main projects are the development of Renewable PtX trainings and to organise comprehensive Train-of-Trainer courses. I am convinced that Renewable PtX ought to be the missing building block to effectively decarbonise and defossilise respectively, entire economies at scale.

I focus on finding the appropriate formats and topics to improve our adult learning formats on Renewable PtX continuously and scaling up the number of our international multiplicators in our partner countries.

By finding success stories and case studies of sustainable Power-to-X concepts and leveraging the knowledge of the team, I am working to make them accessible to a wider audience.

I am providing technical assistance for PtX project and market development activities of the PtX Hub, collaborating closely with our teams and partners on the ground. I contribute to the pivotal goal of global energy transition and working with an inspiring team of international experts every day adds a lot to my motivation.

I am currently working on the development of a Power-to-Liquid pilot plant in Morocco and a long-term energy transition study for South Africa.

My aim is to disseminate practical knowhow about PtX production and usage that adds to the goal of a global just energy transition.
Antonio Rodriguez Fernández
| My work focuses on Policy and Regulatory analysis for hydrogen and PtX with a geographical focus in the EU, Algeria and Morocco. I support partner countries in the development of regulatory frameworks for hydrogen and PtX that suit their needs and adapt to their local circumstances. I am also the focal point for the EU-Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. I believe PtX will play a key role in our partner countries to defossilise their economies and enhance a just and fair transition, increase energy security, and enhance economic and social development. |

My work focuses on providing technical expertise to facilitate the understanding of CBAM in third countries as well as increasing their readiness to take advantage of the opportunity CBAM bring. I am currently working in the development of a regulatory framework for renewable hydrogen and PtX in Algeria under TaqatHy+. Supporting Morocco in understanding the complexity of the EU regulatory framework for hydrogen and PtX. Conducting info sessions and impact assessments for the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanisms in several partner countries including (Algeria, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Chile, Namibia and South Africa

Kevin Mwangi
My work focuses on three pillars that include capacity development, supporting development of an enabling environment through policy and regulatory frameworks and supporting development of business cases for Green Hydrogen and Power-to-X in Kenya with an exciting focus also in shipping and aviation. Working in Kenya which has abundant RE resources starting from geothermal, wind, solar and hydro gives me motivation to support within my area of expertise the leap frogging of Kenya to a green industrial economy through PtX. The PtX Hub provides that opportunity to support actors in Kenya to achieve this vision.
Focus
Seeing that Kenya could develop a green product from origin to market, I am working on seeing how a green value chain can be supported e.g., cut flower from farm to market and the role of Power-to-X in such a value chain.
Mission
That Kenya first utilizes fully its renewable energy resources for Power-to-X that also has an impact in the region and the world at large especially in sectors such as shipping and aviation.
Joy Mutanu Nzue
My work focuses on supporting the national government in development of a green hydrogen economy. This involves tasks such as developing business cases, organizing networking events, formulating policies and guidelines, and facilitating capacity-building initiatives. I also coordinate Women in Green Hydrogen activities in Kenya.I am convinced that the adoption of green hydrogen is essential for attaining a net-zero economy. Power-to-X technology fosters energy transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. Additionally, I find it fascinating to be involved in pioneering technology.
Focus
I am currently working on maritime and shipping, aviation and research park business cases in Kenya. I am also actively organizing women in green hydrogen networking events.
Mission
To lay foundations for the development of a green hydrogen in Kenya while ensuring women and youth participation.
Joshua Odour Ochieng
My main focus areas are pinned on two overarching topics i.e Maritime decarbonization and Capacity Building I am passionate about advancing the green hydrogen ecosystem in Kenya. This is much aligned to what PtX Hub is doing in the following key pillars embedded in Kenya’s National green Hydrogen Strategy and Roadmap as follows: Capacity building, Policy development and creation of enabling development, Sectoral coordination and networking and Business development.
Focus
I am involved in capacity-building initiatives, including Training of Trainers (ToT) programs for TVETs and universities, to strengthen expertise in PtX applications such as green fertilizers, e-fuels, and green steel in an industry responsive approach.

My goal is to support the development and deployment of green hydrogen and PtX solutions by strengthening capacity at different educational levels, fostering policy dialogue, and advancing the just transition dialogue

My work focuses on research and training on hydrogen for academia as well as hydrogen value chain. I believe that green hydrogen and Power-to-X can accompany coal phase-out in countries with high share of fossil fuels.

I Work closely with the consortial partner in Morocco to ensure the achievement of the project objectives, including the integration of PtX in energy planning and NDCs in the context of the energy transition.

My work focuses on the coordination and implementation of the project activities in Argentina. PtX can contribute to Argentina’s GHG mitigation goals as part of their NDC towards local defossilisation and at the same time can generate attractive co-benefits for the Argentine economy
Focus
We are currently focusing on creating space for technical exchange on specific aspects such as e.g. required infrastructure for a PtX development. Also, recommendations for the adaptation of the regulatory framework will be discussed with the new government and counterparts.

Veronica Chorkulak
I help develop sustainable markets for green hydrogen and PtX in Argentina through studies, capacity building, and dialogue. I'm passionate about their transformative role across sectors.
Focus
Through coordinating technical studies on the Argentine context (e.g. on carbon sources or supporting infrastructure), and analysing opportunities for strategic sectors, I aim to encourage the implementation of public policies and private projects that foster green hydrogen and PtX development.

My work focuses on the implementation of project activities in Argentina, including technical studies, supporting policy regulation, and promoting intersectoral and regional exchange. I also work on capacity-building initiatives to enhance the understanding of PtX.
