The new study ‘Towards a Green Shipping Gateway – Establishing a Green Hydrogen Economy in Egypt’ explores how Egypt can become a green shipping hub and leverage its green shipping’s potential to boost its hydrogen economy.
The study emphasises the strategic leverage of the Suez Canal for Egypt to contribute to the establishment of green shipping corridors. It also proposes different supporting measures to amplify the impact of green hydrogen and its defossilisation potential across existing sectors of Egypt’s economy. The PtX Hub commissioned and financed the study jointly with the project H2Diplo.
