The H2 Guide was developed by the bilateral energy partnerships on behalf of the Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMKW). Through the bilateral energy partnerships, a high-level governmental dialogue is linked with practical, goal-oriented project work. The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH advises and supports the BMWK in the implementation and conceptual development of the energy partnerships with Algeria, Brazil, Chile, China, Ethiopia, Jordan, India, Morocco, Mexico, South Africa and Tunisia, as well as in the establishment of new dialogue structures with other developing and emerging countries.

The H2 Business Guide presents the first results and findings of the previously carried out potential analyses for the countries Algeria, Brazil, Chile, Morocco, Mexico, South Africa and Tunisia. The aim of the guide is to help German companies orient themselves on the hydrogen potentials and current energy policy developments in these countries. These are inventories which are quickly evolving in view of the global dynamics in the countries. The guide further gives an overview of the respective electricity and energy mix of the countries, their respective renewable energies potentials and goals and the current planning status with regard to green hydrogen.
